We’re not that girl your mother warned you about. Although we did notice her too, and honestly… werk.

We’re the one who was always off doing her own thing. Our friends described us as “quirky.” We weren’t “cool,” but we weren’t like… not cool. We were curious about the world and loved to learn, just not always necessarily the shit they were teaching us. We wore what made us happy and made it ourselves when we couldn’t find it. Like a lot of people, we liked art, music, and fashion. But we especially loved dissecting it all in our head and thinking about novel ways to put it back together again. That’s where we would find beauty.
